Designed exclusively for the Range Rover, the LR-SDV8 diesel engine offers a powerful, effortless driving experience that’s rich in torque - 700Nm, delivering a power increase from 230kW to 250kW, whilst achieving 229g/km of C02 – 10 percent less than its predecessor. Parallel sequential turbocharging achieves consistent power and performance throughout the rev range; and the eight-speed automatic transmission is smooth and responsive, offering compelling driving refinement.

The Range Rover’s supreme all-terrain capability goes a stage further with new Terrain Response 2 Auto®. The system monitors ground conditions to determine the most appropriate response to the terrain and automatically optimises vehicle settings for an enhanced and assured experience for almost all driving conditions. Intelligent 4WD helps maintain outstanding performance on and off-road, while Adaptive Dynamics (as standard) improves handling and refine ride quality. Transmission quality is smooth, effortless and has improved fuel efficiency.

    Seating Functionality And Comfort Features

    Meticulous interior design makes the Range Rover spacious and comfortable. Due to a 42mm longer wheelbase, rear seat passengers can now enjoy over 1 metre’s legroom. An Executive Class Seating option is available on the Vogue SE and Autobiography and consists of two individual leather seats, including 3-mode massage feature, climate control, power recline (with memory function) winged headrests and extended centre console.

        A joint £800m investment into new technologies designed to reduce CO2emissions and improve fuel consumption. We are targeting a 25 percent reduction in joint fleet average tailpipe CO2 emissions by 2015, as part of our carbon management plan. Range Rover Evoque has been accredited to ISO14040, a whole life assessment that measures the vehicles environmental impact from manufacturing to use.

        SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING
        World class manufacturing facilities, certified to ISO14001 since 1998. As a company we are targeting a 25 percent reduction in operating CO2 emissions by 2012, 25 percent in waste to landfill and 10 percent in water consumption, based off 2007 levels. Our initiatives include factory energy efficiencies, cutting transport miles and offsetting all CO2emissions from manufacturing assembly process.
